Click on View Installed Updates. Search for KB and uninstall this update. Once this update is uninstalled, remember to restart the computer.

Step2: Click this link and manually download this update. Update is available that prepares Windows 8 and Windows RT-based computers for the update to Windows 8.

Once this update is installed, remember to restart the computer. After the restart now access the Store and you will find the upgrade to Windows 8. Ensure that no external devices are plugged in when you start the upgrade installation. Further, you may also perform a hardware clean boot before starting the upgrade installation. Note: Once you have upgraded, enable the devices. Also refer to the computer manufacturer website and install the latest version of drivers for all the devices.
